In 1987, a group of local volunteers recognized the need for affordable housing in Brown County and established Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity. Inspired by the global mission of Habitat for Humanity, the organization began constructing homes for families in need, emphasizing the importance of homeownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty. Over the years, the organization has expanded its efforts, including the operation of the Habitat ReStore, to further support its mission.
