Founded In 2019
Giving is Good, Inc. was born out of Michelle Blackman’s long-held desire to serve those in need. After years of praying and planning, she launched Giving is Good in 2019 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, gathering donations from individuals and businesses to meet local needs. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Michelle and her volunteer team turned a challenge into an opportunity, creating care packages and expanding programs so that even the most isolated neighbors felt recognized, supported, and loved.

At Giving is Good, we believe that every act of kindness has the power to change a life. We are a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit committed to getting good things into the hands of people who need them most — from families in crisis to children, inmates, and seniors in care facilities.
Through programs like Giving is Golden, Inmates Helping OUT, and Nominate a Great Family, we collect donations of everyday essentials, handmade gifts, and care items that are lovingly packaged and distributed to those in need throughout the community and beyond. Every box, every stitch, and every gift is a tangible reminder that someone cares.
