Founded In 1852

For more than a century, The Salvation Army has been part of the Green Bay community, standing as a steady source of hope and practical help. What began as a small local outreach inspired by the global mission of The Salvation Army has grown into a vital ministry meeting thousands of needs each year.

Through the years, we’ve seen God’s faithfulness at work—whether it’s a single mom finding relief through our food pantry, or a guest who came for a meal and found encouragement to rebuild his life. Every story reminds us why we’re here: to serve without judgment, to love without condition, and to help restore dignity to those facing hard times.

We partner locally with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Brown County United Way, and numerous community organizations and churches that share our commitment to fighting hunger and supporting families in crisis.

These partnerships make it possible for us to serve more people, offer more resources, and continue sharing Christ’s love in both word and action throughout Brown County.

At The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay, we believe no one should go hungry. Through our Cure Hunger initiative, we serve our neighbors in need with compassion and dignity—providing hot, nutritious meals and essential groceries to families and individuals across Brown County.

Each weekday, our kitchen opens its doors for a warm community lunch, offering not only food but fellowship and hope. Our pantry ensures that households have access to the staples they need, while also connecting guests with local resources to help them move toward stability and independence.

Rooted in the love of Christ, The Salvation Army is dedicated to meeting both physical and spiritual needs. Every meal served and every bag of food distributed reflects our mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name—without discrimination.
